Michael is a career financial services professional, where he consults with small businesses, groups, and individuals. His goal has been toward building futures with positive impact on local communities and the people whose lives are built there. Executives and entrepreneurs have relied on him to help to solve their most difficult challenges, drive strategy, unlock company value, and create jobs throughout the area. He has worked with legislative and community leaders to share his understanding of finance, small business, diversity, real estate, pensions, investments, and community development.

Michael and his family live in Bolingbrook. He is a graduate of Plainfield High School Central Campus, Northwestern University, and the Kellogg School of Management. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his daughter's sports teams, playing basketball, and cheering on the Northwestern Wildcats.

As senator, Michael will work towards the elimination of government corruption and the creation of good-paying jobs. To get there, he will rely on his diverse experience and education to find solutions to our community's most pressing problems: rising healthcare costs, the property tax burden, and the high cost of higher education. His public-service goal parallels his professional goal: to build positive futures together.
  • Through smart solutions and responsible fiscal policy, we can provide meaningful tax and financial relief for Illinois families.
  • In order to create greater economics opportunities for the next generation, we must increase investments into higher education and expand youth apprenticeship programs so that we may develop the most well prepared workforce for the jobs of tomorrow.
  • Access to quality and affordable health care is a human right. We need to take steps to control skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs and health insurance rates to protect Illinoisans.
- Providing relief to families who have been overburdened by a rising cost of living in Illinois

- Ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, or economic status, has an opportunity to thrive in Illinois.
- Eliminating unfair tax systems that lead to rising income inequality and replacing them with a tax system that promotes fairness, cuts taxes for middle and working-class families, provides tax relief to homeowners, helps produce budget stability, and boosts the economy.

- Meaningful ethics reform that will root out corruption, cronyism, and conflicts of interest.
Honesty, Transparency, Integrity, Compassion, Empathy
I was 11 years old during the terrorist attacks on September 11th. While this was not the first historical event in my lifetime, it is the first major event that I was fully aware of and understood.
Population Loss and Fiscal Stability. The two problems feed into one another and must be addressed for Illinois to reverse course.
Absolutely. You must build coalitions of like minded legislators so that you have additional individuals who can be champions of the causes that you care most deeply about.
