Michael D. Weinstein is a judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. He assumed office in 2024. His current term ends on January 8, 2029.
He was appointed to the court on January 29, 2024 by Gavin Newsom (D) to replace Mary H. Strobel.[1]
Biography
Weinstein has been a Lecturer in Law at the University of California since 2021. He has served as Chief of the Noncapital Habeas Unit at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California since 2022 and has served in several roles there since 2010. He graduated from the University of California with a Juris Doctor in 2008.[2]
