I am a Viet-Nam Vet who has retired after spending 50 years as an Engineer in the Design and Manufacturing Arena. I have worked for several major companies Managing Engineering Projects for Consumer Products and Electrical Distribution Equipment. I am drawn to the political arena because I see a severe change of attitude towards individual freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. Our society is wandering far afield from the concepts our Forefathers wrote into our Declaration of Independence and our Bill of Rights. I want to be part of the effort to return our government, Local, State and Federal to those principles that have safely guided us through 240 years. I have no political experience which I consider an advantage over many of today's elected officials, but I do have strong Constitutional Values that I will use to guide me as I fight for a return to Constitutional Freedoms for all.
  • I am a Constitutional Conservative who believes in the Bill of Rights for all citizens of Michigan and will fight to protect those Rights from being taken away by Government Decree.
  • I will support our 2nd Amendment and fight against any effort to restrain/control/restrict access to bear arms, to buy ammunition or remove the right to own arms without due process (Red Flag Law)
  • All of Michigan's small businesses have been devastated by the Covid Lockdown. I will work to provide financial incentives and regulatory help to put small busiess in the spotlight of recovery and replace those who were not able to continue their business replacing lost jobs these businnesses provided.

Promote or provide incentive to establish many more Trade Schools and Universities

1 - Protection and Safety of Citizens of Michigan

2 - Providing Quality Education to the next generation

3 - Keeping existing or expanding Jobs as that drives state revenue

4 - Repairing infrastructure to attract additional business and make the State desirable as a business home

5 - Allocate money to projects that bring in federal funding
Detroit Free Press   Featured local question
Tax hikes are nothing more than adding to distribution of wealth. We all need to support our State, but it was the decision of ONE person to lock Michigan down and create this deficit issue. It is not acceptable to put the burden on Michigan's citizens by increasing taxes. If we can suffer devastation if our economic lives due to a Governor's decision, than we can get through budgetary cuts due to this artificially created budget deficit.
Detroit Free Press   Featured local question
Use the tax money for what it is intended for. Get federal grants. Review every contractor for quality, competitiveness and rate them. Have each contract specify a guaranteed period at no charge to the state. Eliminate any conflict of interest between elected officials and contractors. Have a committee to oversee spending and identify wasted dollars and assess penalties.

Put financial control back in the hands of Local communities
No one should have their lives "canceled" or take abuse due to expressing their thoughts or ideas.

Bullying people because they refuse to be Politically Correct as defined by Social Media and regular Media

Laying 100% blame on one faction or group when nothing is ever totally one sided

Allowing violent protest to destroy individually owned property and businesses as a means to protest social issues

Right to Life

Prosecuting people/actions in the "Court of Public Opinion". Our country was founded on the principle of Innocent until proven Guilty
I have been independent my entire life. I would have to say there is no one individual as I make my own path through life and remain responsible for all of my actions as my own. The ONE person that had the biggest impact was Stan Musial who was one of the best Baseball player ever and one of the BEST individual people ever. He embodied the Golden Rule of treat others as you would have them treat you.
I care for the individual freedoms guaranteed to all Citizens of the United states
The first time I heard thunder and had no idea what caused such a loud noise that frightened me. I was three years old.
I was hired to work in a factory spotwelding metal drums for oil fired furnaces. I worked for that company from 1964 until 1980 after working my up to Project Engineer.
Obviously No. I am in favor of Term Limits. An elected Official needs to have enough sense to realize that not every thing in a society is going to be equal if we are to be free and when taking Legislative action we need to be cognizant of the effects on All over the Long Term and not for a special group.
To keep our Individual Rights from being infringed upon for the sake of satisfying myriad special groups
Cooperative, discussing issues and looking for consensus from the Citizens of Michigan
Absolutely. No one person has all the good ideas. Usually many contributions for multiple individuals are necessary before real progress and sound legislation can be made.
Undetermined at this time, but probably a budget committee appointment would be desirable
