I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television production. I have lived in the 78th Assembly District for 33 years. I have worked in the motion picture industry and been in active in community relations.
  • Affordable housing. A safer and more efficient public transit.
  • Ending false arrest and wrongful convictions.
  • Tax credits for Film and Video Production in the Bronx.
I would like to see affordable housing for all those living here. I would like to see more efficient, frequent and safer public transportation. I would like to see continued tax credits for film and video production to keep it competitive with runaway production to Canada. I would like to see a reduction in false arrests and wrongful convictions.

I am pro-life.
Pope St. John Paul II. He brought together many people of different faiths and ethnic backgrounds to focus on our common issues above our differences.

Integrity. Fairness. Ability to get things done, and get past the obstacles. The ability to listen and empathize.
The ability to listen and empathize with the citizens of this community.
To make this district a better place than when I found it.
I will never forget 9/11. The city (and country) came together in a way that I have never seen before. For the first time, everyone wanted to do something to help or make things better.
I drove a fleet taxi for Dover Garage for two years before getting my first job in the motion picture industry.
Hermann Hesse's novel Steppenwolf. It shows how opposite natures in an individual can be brought together.
Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 for The New World
The Assembly is where bills start and the representative has greater contact with the citizens, he represents.
Yes. But also living in the community gives you a sense of the problems that it faces.
Employment. Keeping people from leaving. Making their neighborhoods safe. Keeping New York stories shot in New York and not Toronto or Montreal.
The governor needs to listen to the state legislature and be aware of the problems addressed.
It should be according to head count. Not according to political alliances.
Transportation. Housing. Tax credits for motion picture and Television. Health care. Education. Criminal justice reform. Employment.
My opponent Jose Rivera. He's done an outstanding job in serving this district. But he should allow some time for Jose, while he still can.
One step at a time. I am interested in serving the Bronx well as a State Assemblyman first.
