Kenney ran in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 9. Kenney was defeated by Andy Sanborn in the September 11th Republican primary election. Lee C. Nyquist ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
