Michael Garcia is a member of the Santa Fe City Council in New Mexico, representing District 2. He assumed office on January 1, 2020. His current term ends on January 1, 2028.

Garcia ran for election for Mayor of Santa Fe in New Mexico. He won in the general election on November 4, 2025.

Biography

Garcia was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and government from The University of New Mexico and a master's degree from the University of New Mexico School of Public Administration. Before he was elected mayor, Garcia served on the Santa Fe City Council. Garcia's other career experience includes being an AmeriCorps VISTA.
