Michael Gilbert was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 10 of the Ohio State Senate.[1]

Campaign themes

2016

Gilbert's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Michael Sergio Gilbert's goal as senate candidate is to represent the people in his district. To analyze and ensure that the needs of the community are cared for, he aims to be his brother’s keeper. He feels responsible for the health care and social service needs of our elderly, who have clearly been forgotten by our current politicians. It’s of great concern to Michael that America, as great as it is, still has politicians who let thousands of children and veterans be homeless. These are only some of his focus areas.

As a senator, Michael wants to motivate and inspire not only the people in his district, but individuals throughout the United States. It’s important for individuals to understand that he personally believes that as a senator, his responsibility and obligation is to serve the needs of everyday people.[2]
