Ever since I was a kid, I could see there was such a thing as white privilege. Although it took me years to understand what it was, I have always been one to stand up for everyone. Especially those in need. To my early years playing baseball I understood that the team could only be as good as the sum of its parts. Similar values were instilled in me as a member of the Boy Scouts. Serving others was something that I was emulating from my parents.
  • Housing as a right so we can end Homelessness, enact rent control and create affordable housing.
  • Healthcare as a right and lowering of prescription drug prices.
  • Tuition free college and canceling current student loan debt.
I am passionate about issues that protect and assist our children.
I look up to Tom Morello, Chuck D and B Real. They stand up and speak out on issues of social injustice.
Listen to Rage Against the Machine, 311, Public Enemy, NWA, Cypress Hill, Prophets of Rage, Nas, Common to begin to understand where my political philosophy comes from today.
I believe you need to have integrity, understand you serve the people and willingness to work with both parties to enact legislation that positively affects us all.
I am running to make this world a better place for my children. Housing as a right, healthcare for all with lower prescription drug prices, tuition free college, gun safety and climate change are those things I will fight for as this is going to be my legacy. It's all about the children.
My first job was as a lifeguard for the Chicago Park District. It was a union job. I learned early the value of being union strong.
Path to Love by Deepak Chopra
I have struggled with helping people see that making decisions and opinions based on fear instead of understanding leads to hate. Hate leads to violence. This senseless violence we are currently seeing an increase in has to be confronted by every one, every where. We need to be the voice of human rights.
Two qualities are impeachment and revenue bills must originate in the House.
Yes it is beneficial for representatives to have experience in government or politics. A representative needs to understand that they work for We The People not large donors.
Recovering from our government having been gutted by those that currently use it for profit. As much as this is a challenge the positive side to this situation is that we now can shape government in the way of We The People.
AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Pramila Jayapal, Katie Porter & Rashida Tlaib.
I have found a particular theme that has touched the majority of the people I have spoken to in my District and that is Hope. Every one has Hope that the future will get better. That feeling of Hope will turn into action this March and November.
