Michael Haley
Michael Haley was a district court judge for the 86th District Court in Michigan.[1] He was first elected to the court in 2002 and took the bench in 2003.[2] Haley retired from the bench on January 31, 2015.[3]
Despite his retirement plans, Haley ran unopposed and was re-elected to the 86th District Court in 2014 to secure his availability as a visiting judge after his retirement.[4]
Education
Haley received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and his J.D. degree from the Loyola University School of Law in Chicago in 1974.[2]
Career
Prior to his election to the bench, Haley worked as an attorney in private practice. He also previously served as a law clerk, as an assistant public defender, and as an assistant prosecutor.[2]
