Michael Handler
Michael Handler was a candidate who sought the Republican nomination for governor of Connecticut in the 2018 election. Handler did not receive enough votes at the state's Republican Party convention to make it to the ballot.[1]

Biography
Handler's career includes time spent in finance, acting as a senior portfolio manager for SAC Capital Management and as executive vice president with Jeffries Asset Management. In 2007, Handler left finance in order to pursue a career in the public sector. Handler was named emergency management director for the town of New Canaan, Connecticut, in 2011. In 2012, Handler was appointed as director of administration for the city of Stamford, Connecticut, becoming the city's chief financial officer and the chairman of the Water Pollution Control Authority.[2]
