Like many others, I’m concerned about where things are headed. Not because of cable news. Not because of national politics. But because of what we’re seeing right here at home. Housing costs are climbing faster than paychecks. Public schools are asked to do more with less, with voucher programs introduced by the Georgia Senate that seek to take even more funding away. Too many families are one medical bill away from a crisis. These aren’t red issues or blue issues. They’re Georgia issues.
I intend to use my legal expertise and love for my community to enact legislation not rooted in cruelty, but in care for my neighbors.- I support fully funding our public schools, paying teachers competitively, and expanding technical and vocational pathways so students who don’t want a four-year degree still have a high-paying future in Georgia.
- Access to healthcare is a human right. Women’s access to reproductive healthcare is healthcare, and this access should be determined by medical professionals and not politicians. I will work hard to expand access to medicaid and a robust public health programs so people won’t have to choose between paying for medical attention, or paying for food or housing.
- Georgia doesn’t need to give away the store to massive corporations while small businesses struggle to survive. I support smart competition— investing in workforce development, infrastructure, and local entrepreneurs. I will not write blank checks and hope for the best. Economic growth should benefit the people who already live here.
