Michael J. Pinckney
Michael J. Pinckney was a judge for the New York City Housing Court of Queens County, New York. He has served in this position since October of 1999 and was reappointed in 2004, 2009 and 2014.[1][2]
Education
Pinckney received his B.S. from the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1979 and his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law in 1982.[1]
Career
Pinckney began his career in 1987 as a managing attorney of the Landlord and Tenant Litigation Division. He became the Deputy Director of that division in 1992. He then joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 1995, where he served as Deputy General Counsel until 1998. He was a Deputy Commissioner of the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development from 1998 until his appointment to the Housing Court in 1999.[1]
