Michael J. Sullivan is a former chief judge of the Twenty-Second Circuit of Illinois.[1][2][3] He first served as an associate judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in 1976, and was elected as resident circuit judge for the Twenty-Second Circuit in 1984. Sullivan served as the chief judge for the Twenty-Second Circuit from 2006 to 2018.[4][5]

Sullivan was retained to the Twenty-Second Judicial Circuit Court with 78.6 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [6] 

Evaluations

The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Michael J. Sullivan (Illinois) as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[7]

Education

Sullivan attended the Marmion Military Academy in 1959. He then earned a B.A. from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, in 1963 and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1966.[4]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge, he was engaged in private practice with Joslyn & Green in Woodstock, IL.[4]
