Michael Jacobson
Michael Jacobson (Republican Party) is a member of the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 42. He assumed office on February 23, 2022. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Jacobson is running for re-election to the Nebraska State Senate to represent District 42. He declared candidacy for the primary scheduled on May 12, 2026.[source]
Jacobson was appointed on February 23, 2022 by Gov. Pete Ricketts (R) to replace former Rep. Mike Groene (R).[1]
Biography
Michael Jacobson lives in North Platte, Nebraska. Jacobson graduated from Sutton High School. He earned a B.S. in agricultural economics and agricultural education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Jacobson's career experience includes founding and working as the principal shareholder of NebraskaLand Bank.[2]

Jacobson ran in the 2012 election for District 43 of the Nebraska Unicameral. He was defeated in the May 15 primary election.[3][4]
