Michael Janson
Michael Janson (independent) ran for election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 13th Bristol District. Janson lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Michael Janson resides in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Janson graduated from New Bedford High School and attended both Shimer College and Southeastern Massachusetts University. During his career, he worked in approximately 50 different jobs before retiring. Janson has run unsuccessfully for the position of New Bedford mayor nine times.[1]

Michael Janson was defeated by incumbents Jack Nobrega and Lawrence J. Finnerty and fellow challengers Josh Amaral, Brian Pastori, Christopher A. Cotter and Maria H. Mojica-Mosquea in his attempt to win one of three at-large seats in the primary election on October 8, 2013.[2] Janson finished in last place in the primary and did not continue on to the general election.
