Ballotpedia survey responses
Johnson stated the following about his political philosophy in a biographical submission to Ballotpedia:[1]
“ | It is as Revenue Commissioner that Michael feels he has experienced his greatest professional successes; beginning the process of healing a broken office, mending relationships between the office and other agencies, clarifying the administration of Alabama Code and promulgated rules, adapting processes to be less cumbersome to tax payers and staff, and accepting responsibility for the duties of the office. Among the many facets of the job Michael enjoys it is breadth of impact the office has on every municipality, school district, civil service, and resident.
Michael now desires to serve Alabama as Secretary of State, applying his technical and administrative experiences to an office so vital to our citizens and society.[2] |
