Michael K. McNally is a judge of the Michigan 33rd District Court.

McNally ran for re-election for judge of the Michigan 33rd District Court. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Biography

McNally Received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in 1980. He earned his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law in 1983.[1] McNally was a trial attorney from 1983 until his election to the bench in 1994. During that time, he served as an arbitrator and as a prosecuting attorney for the City of Woodhaven. He assumed his duties as a judge in January 1995, and was re-elected to his position in 2000 and 2006.[1]

Judges of the Michigan District Courts are each elected to six-year terms.[4] The elections for this court are nonpartisan contested elections. To serve on this court, a judge must be a qualified elector of the district, licensed to practice law in the state, under the age of 70, and have five years of experience practicing law.
