Michael LaPaglia
Michael LaPaglia (Republican Party) ran for election for North Carolina Secretary of State. He lost in the Republican primary on March 3, 2020.
LaPaglia ran for North Carolina Secretary of State in the 2016 elections. LaPaglia filed to run as a Republican and defeated AJ Daoud in the Republican primary.[1] He was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Upon graduating from Emory University, LaPaglia began working as a consultant at LaPaglia & Associates, eventually becoming the firm's vice president in 1998 and CEO in 2008.[2]

LaPaglia filed paperwork to challenge incumbent Secretary of State Elaine Marshall in the 2016 elections.[1] He defeated AJ Daoud in the March 15 Republican primary.
