  • Massachusetts continues to be ranked as the least transparent state government in the entire nation. In 2024, 72% of the electorate voted to audit the state legislature. As your State Representative, I will work to make our government more transparent by helping enact the audit, voting to end public records exemptions for the legislature, governor's office, and judiciary, and proposing legislation to establish a non-partisan agency based on the Congressional Budget Office to offer independent analysis of our state budget and economy.
  • Massachusetts continues to be ranked among the most expensive states in the nation. I will reduce the cost of living here by working to reduce the tax burden on the working and middle class, expand the child and family tax credit, and establish a universal healthcare program for the state of Massachusetts.
  • The 12th Hampden District deserves a State Representative who is present and accountable. As your representative, I will hold regular town halls and office hours.

My entire life, I've looked up to my grandfather and grandmother on my maternal side. They both lived the American dream, coming up from the poverty of the Great Depression and securing a good life for themselves through their own hard work and sacrifice. Both benefited from government support during the Great Depression but paid it back many times throughout their adult lives. To me, they exemplify the promise of this country and what citizenship should ideally be about.
A good elected official needs humility, honesty, resilience, and vigor. Listening and speaking skills are also very important. Most of all, they need to be willing and able to communicate with the community about who they are, what they believe, and why. They also need to be open to receiving feedback and honestly explaining their decisions.
