- Transparency of how Texans Money is Being Used. The Comptroller is about Your Money. It is NOT a Legislative role. It does not make laws or get to Vote on them. It is about Kitchen Table issues, money, affordability, creating jobs, water, electricity, Broadband quality and School Vouchers and more. It is about rolling up your sleeves and getting things done that benefit Texans to make their Lives Better. The Comptroller oversees $ 338 Billion of Your Money, manages a staff of almost 3,000 people, has over 30 offices around the State, looks after another 1, 800 other Texas organizations as well as 3.5 Million businesses. Real World work experience matters if you want real Transparency. Michael LANGE is that. VOTE LANGE, the REAL DEAL.
- Audit and Checking the Efficiency of the use of Texans money including School Vouchers. $ 1 Billion will be spent in 2026 for School Vouchers, Texans need to understand how this money is being spent including all related expense costs. This also true for the $ 20 Billion that will be spent on improving Water infrastructure across the state which including the use of water and electricity by new proposed data centers. Must ensure that the money Texans work hard for gets Value for Money, they get the Bang for their Buck they deserve. Ensuring their money is not being abused is key. Comptroller is an Independent Agency and has the ability and power to audit any place Texans money is being used. Make results transparent and easily available.
- The Comptroller controls Broadband quality for Texas. We need immediate Broadband quality improvement across all of Texas, rural and urban. Texas is growing by 10,000 people each week. Far too many Texans do not have stable Broadband. Texas needs better Broadband now. Texas does not even rank in the top ten States in the US for Broadband Quality. Every Texans deserves at least 2 Bars access, 24 hours/ 7 days per week, 99.9% of the time. The technology and money are available but Texas is moving too slow and plans are not making Texas Future-Ready. This important improvement will have a positive affect for all Texans and also help small business. Must get this done soon and maintain this standard going forward. Texas should have the best
