I'm just an average blue collar man, hoping to make a difference. I am fighting for Average Americans to have their voices heard. I come from a good hardworking family. I have had jobs in different fields. I have worked in cybersecurity and Walmart. I have had good years and bad years. Riding the roller coaster of life has given me the ability to emphasize with various groups of people.
  • Inflation. We need to tackle this issue so Americans can have breathing room. Energy independence is the first step while cutting unnecessary spending is the follow up. Most goods today travel several thousand miles. Which is why the price of gasoline affects many sectors of the economy. Increasing domestic production as well as filling up our strategic reserves will strengthen us and allow us to deal with problems and not start miles behind.
  • Immigration. While we already have laws on the books, it's the job of the house to impeach officials who do not do their job. I believe in Legal Immigration but not open borders. When citizens are struggling and they see people handing over benefits to people who have illegally crossed the border, something is broken. We need to reinstate the remain in Mexico policy. Asylum seekers who get caught at a non official port of entry should be forced to remain in Mexico until their claim is processed.
  • America First. I will try to keep this simple. When Americans are put last by the government they elect, something needs to change. From Warrantless wiretaps to forever wars, Americans feel like they have no voice. Not to mention they often get forgotten during crises. East Palestine and Maui were forgotten soon after the event. However it seems that both parties are salivating at the idea of an escalated conflict. It burns me up when the government forgets that the people are supposed to be their number one priority.
On a personal level, I love the idea of a net positive fusion reactor. It would be game changing. Despite the fear of AI, I consider it a tool that can help the human race achieve more. I love the fact that as an American we are allowed to express ourselves freely. Criticizing the government is something that should never be outlawed.
I want to be seen as a good American, Not a Good Republican
Yes, Most Americans want term limits. When the current longest senator has been in longer than I have been alive, something needs to change. -Chuck Grassley 42 years
Because of this very reason, I believe that omnibus bills should never be voted in. We cannot justify not keeping track of the budget. Not to mention they often sneak in provisions that fund things most Americans are against. The 2008 crash helped shape my views. When Americans suffer they are told to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. However when a major bank needs a bailout the money is found no matter what.
I believe the house needs to be oversight for government accountability. When the news glosses over the fact that we lost a billion dollars that was supposed to go to Ukraine, There needs to be accountability. We cant just let government do whatever they want with no push back. Despite giving over 70 billion we have nothing to show but dead Ukrainians

Campaign website

Lemon’s campaign website stated the following:

How is it when it comes to Ukraine politicians can pour out billions of dollars but when Maui catches on fire, they can barely scrape enough to get a hotel.

We need a politician that will fight for YOU!

Dr. Andy Harris has voted for omni bus bills and billions to Ukraine. As a nation we cant be the world’s police and the world’s piggybank. Too often American tax dollars are wasted on worthless wars and spending.

Through illegal immigration and inflation, Americans are being pushed into debt. Congress seems to be more worried about securing the border of Ukraine rather than the Southern Border.

Inflation
Inflation is caused by several sources

  • Cost of Energy
  • Reckless spending
  • Unnecessary regulation

We need to tackle this issue from several different angles. First and foremost, we need to once again achieve energy independence. Oil, Fracking, Nuclear, Solar, and Hydro-electric. Another part of the solution is to work on managing Government Spending and regulation. By working at it from different angles it compounds the efforts to relieve the American people.

Foreign Spending
Our leaders should have learned from Iraq. Countless billions have been spent on a losing war in Ukraine. The federal debt is over 266k dollars per tax payer. Ask yourself one question, Has all this spending helped your life?

Immigration
It is the duty of the house to handle the process of impeachment. So when our immigration laws are unenforced and government resources are used to smuggle children, we need to hold the executive branch accountable. We already have laws on the books, it is the duty of Congress to hold the executive branch to a higher standard.

Social Security
“Cutting” Social Security is not the only solution. It was created with the intent and the direct purpose to aid and support Americans. For this noble initiative and grand purpose. I stand resolute in my belief and why I stand in opposition to “cutting” social security.

2nd Amendment
The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to allow people to defend themselves from all threats foreign or domestic. I will NOT back legislation that takes away guns from honest law-abiding Americans. Studies done by the CDC have shown that simply carrying has saved more lives than gun violence has taken. Most crime is committed with illegally acquired guns so banning citizens from legal ownership will not stop that problem.

Term limits
There should be term limits for all members of Congress. As well as the ability to remove members who can no longer perform their duties due to medical reasons. Dianne Feinstein had to give up power of attorney to her daughter because she could not be trusted to make her own decisions. However, for several months she still served as Senator. The current longest-serving senator is Chuck Grassley who has served since 1981. This is a problem on both sides.

Energy Independence
Maryland gets its energy mainly from three sources. Roughly 40 percent from Nuclear, 40 % from Natural Gas, and 20% from other sources. I support Nuclear Energy and Fracking. While fracking is controversial, when done with proper safety precautions the benefits outweigh the risks. Nuclear both in terms of fission and fusion will vastly expand our energy production. Finally, i would encourage more domestic drilling and give us control of our oil and not have to rely on other countries.

Lockdowns and Mandates
During the pandemic, American right constantly being violated and no one stood up against tyranny. Our rights are protected, while most people were willing to grant some exceptions. The government saw this as an opportunity and went farther than should have ever been allowed. With the bird flu, I want to make sure that no matter what happens it does not become another excuse to violate your rights.[1]

I am an average guy who decided to stand up and try and make this country better. The spearhead of my campaign is to work to lower inflation and the price of gas. I am tired of seeing career politicians talk a big a game and never lift a finger to help people. I have seen my people suffer, I am running for them to work hard and make a better life. Learn more about me at lemon2022.us
  • Working to lower gas prices which will tackle inflation
  • Increase access to preventative medicine.
  • strengthen our energy grid by including other sources such as nuclear and other renewable sources
First and foremost, I believe that we need more nuclear energy. Currently it is one of the cleanest in terms of Carbon, but it also provides an energy density that is unmatched. I can be a bit of an idealist but also realize that we need oil in the current climate. I will work to increase supply to ease the burden of the American people. Most things are shipped by truck, so lower gas prices will lower the cost of goods and services.

We also need to take a serious look at our healthcare system. While I have no medical training of my own, I have listened to others who have worked in the field. There are things we can accomplish in order to cut costs. My main focus is to work to provide preventative medicine that would reduce the cost overall. Just as the old idiom stated, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Finally I do believe in protecting freedom of us citizens. In this string of recent mass shootings it is nothing less than an act of evil. I do believe we can work to stop more of these from happening by going to the root issue and not getting distracted by gun control. Congress is elected by the people and too many of them have forgot that.
