Michael McGuire (New York)

Michael F. McGuire was a judge for Sullivan County Court and the Sullivan County Surrogate's Court. He was also an acting judge of the Sullivan County Family Court. He took office in 2011.[1]
He was removed from office in 2020.[2]
Education
McGuire received his B.S. degree from Manhattan College in 1981, his M.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1983 and his J.D. degree from Pace University in 2001.[1]
Career
McGuire began his legal career in 2001 as an Assistant Sullivan County District Attorney. He then worked as a private practice lawyer from 2004 until his election to the County Court in 2010.[1]
2010 election

McGuire ran unopposed for the seat of Burton Ledina who was required to retire from the court at the end of 2010 due to reaching the mandatory age of retirement.[3]
