Melerine (Republican Party) won election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 6 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the general election was canceled.
Biography
Michael Melerine lives in Shreveport, Louisiana. Melerine earned a B.S. and a J.D. from Louisiana State University in 2010 and 2013, respectively. His career experience includes working as an attorney with the law firm of Seabaugh & Sepulvado, LLC.[1] Melerine has served on the boards of Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana, Rotary of Riverbend-Shreveport, and the Independence Bowl.[2]
