Mitchell issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:
“ | We the People need to return the Federal Government to the confines of the Constitution. The nation our forefathers intended for us will be lost if we continue in the direction we are headed. I have become very weary of career politicians not up holding their Oath to protect and defend the Constitution. It has become clear to many that our elected officials are in the pocket of special interest groups and corporate elites. I have chosen to run for office to return the tradition of the Citizen Statesman. The Citizen Statesman from the working class may be our only chance! | ” |
