Candidate Connection

Michael Monaco participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on March 30, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Michael Monaco's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) To serve as a fair and impartial member of the Court of Appeals.

2) To decide cases in accordance to good governance and constitutional law.
3) To make sure the lower courts follow procedure and apply the law correctly.[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

The Court of Appeals has a long tradition of not engaging in Judicial Activism. I seek to follow the traditions of the Court of Appeals to keep the body unbiased and nonpartisan. The thing I am most passionate about in the Court is to make sure the Constitution is followed regardless of which party is in power.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
