As president of our Neighborhood Association, I have ensured that our voices shape the future of our communities. As a Parks Board Member, I have been a relentless advocate for the city's Master Parks Plan. As a Historic and Cultural Landmark Commissioner, I have worked to preserve the East Side’s rich history. Being Mayor Pro Tem Gyna Bivens Second Chair has prepared me to serve effectively and to make real change happen. I love the East Side and love serving my community.
  • Ensuring safe neighborhoods for all.
  • Supporting clean, well-maintained parks.
  • Driving economic growth and infrastructure improvements.
I am most passionate about ensuring safe neighborhoods in our community and supporting and maintaining clean parks for our families. Everyone who lives in District 5 should be able to enjoy a safe neighborhood where someone can feel comfortable walking along their streets and a clean park where they can bring their family to enjoy public amenities near where they live.
The most important characteristic is being the district’s strongest advocate. Politics can divide, but collaboration drives progress. My measure of success is securing investment and partnership from Fort Worth into District 5’s businesses and neighborhoods. I’ll work tirelessly to champion residents and business owners, ensuring safer streets, better infrastructure, and a stronger tax base through citywide cooperation.
Something that has been a struggle in my life is understanding the East side identity. What are we known for? If we can’t fix identity, we cannot fix anything else. When you think of the Northside, you think of the stockyards. When you think of the west side, you think of culture and entertainment. When you think of the south side, you think of magnolia and historic district. But when you think of the east side, it's blank. We have no identity, we are not known for anything. What is not defined cannot be measured, and what cannot be measured, cannot be improved. As your future councilmember, I will work across this district to identify our identity.
