Michael Morin
Michael Morin (Democratic Party) was a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 49. He assumed office on March 4, 2014. He left office on January 4, 2021.
Morin (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Rhode Island House of Representatives to represent District 49. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Morin earned a degree in fire sciences from the Community College of Rhode Island. His professional experience includes serving as a captain in the Woonsocket Fire Department and as a fire marshal.[1]

2014
Elections for the Rhode Island House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Michael Morin was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[5][6][7]
Special election
Michael Morin defeated Douglas Brown and Mark Chenot in the January 21 Democratic primary. Morin defeated write-in candidates in the special election, which took place on February 25.[8][9][10][11]
The seat was vacant following Lisa Baldelli-Hunt's (D) election as Mayor of Woonsocket.[12]
A special election for the position of Rhode Island House of Representatives District 49 was called for February 25, with a primary on January 21. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 13, 2013.[13]

2012
Morin ran in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 49. He was defeated by incumbent Lisa Baldelli-Hunt in the Democratic primary on September 11.[14][15]
