Michael O'Pake
Michael O'Pake was a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1973 to 2010. He passed away on December 27 due to complications arising from a heart bypass operation.[1] Prior to his passing, he served as Minority Whip in the Pennsylvania Senate. O'Pake was last re-elected in November of 2008. O'Pake also served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1969 to 1972.
O'Pake graduated from St. Joseph's with his Bachelor's degree in 1961 and from Penn law in 1964 with his Juris Doctor degree. O'Pake was a practicing Attorney in addition to being a Senator.
