The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Michael Plowman defeated Jim Thorne in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Brian Greene defeated John Stevens and Holly Richardson in the Republican convention. Greene defeated Plowman in the general election.[1]
