Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am Michael Quiñones, a long time resident of Forsyth County. I am veteran public school teacher, coach and small business owner. I am also a US Army veteran who served in combat in Afghanistan as a paratrooper with the 82D Airborne Division during Operation Enduring Freedom. I hold three educator’s licenses in North Carolina (6-8 grade and 9-12 grade social studies as well as K-12 principal). I am a fearless advocate for the essential work of supporting students, teachers and support staff. I am also a determined problem solver who will not allow obstacles to prevent WSFCS to become great.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• WSFCS must become a high level school district.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe elected officials must take reasonable stewardship of tax dollars seriously.
