Michael Rodrigues (Democratic Party) is a member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the 1st Bristol and Plymouth District. He assumed office on January 5, 2011. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Rodrigues (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Massachusetts State Senate to represent the 1st Bristol and Plymouth District. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on September 1, 2026.[source]
Beginning in 2016, Rodrigues served as State Senate Assistant Majority Whip.
Biography
Rodrigues was born on May 30, 1959. He earned his B.S. from Southeastern Massachusetts University. His professional experience includes working as president and treasurer of ABC Floor Covering.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Michael Rodrigues was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Derek Maksy was unopposed in the Republican primary. Rodriguez defeated Maksy in the general election.[5]
