Campaign themes

2014

Schlierf's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

I believe that:
  • Colorado's economy creates the greatest opportunities when Government doesn't "rig" the game giving some favored companies advantage over others. Businesses that are highly regulated and taxed cannot thrive, cannot create jobs.
  • Our children get the best education when teachers are free and empowered to teach, and our local school boards can focus dollars and classroom time on education rather than providing social services and excessive assessment testing.
  • Colorado's bright future is fueled by safe, local energy development, and healthy tourism
  • We are all adults. We do not need the Government to make decisions for us. Govenment should stay out of wallets, pantries, plumbing and bedrooms.
  • We need to stand up for our Rights. The Bill of Rights, especially freedom of speech, right to bear arms, freedom from unreasonable search and seizure, must be protected by our vigilence as citizens.[2]
