Michael Smith is a judge on the Second District Court in Nebraska. He was appointed by Governor Pete Ricketts (R) on October 28, 2016, to replace Jeffrey Funke, who was appointed to the Nebraska Supreme Court.[1]
Biography
Smith received his J.D. from Creighton University. At the time of his judicial appointment, he was the lead deputy county attorney in Sarpy County’s civil division. He previously worked as a sole practitioner and as an associate attorney in two law firms.[1]
