Four of the five seats on the Highline Public Schools school board were up for by-district election on November 3, 2015. Three seats were up for general election: Districts 1, 4 and 5. One seat, District 3, was up for special election for a two-year unexpired term.

District 1 incumbent Tyrone Curry Sr., District 4 incumbent Bernie Dorsey, and District 5 incumbent Michael Spear won re-election to regular four-year terms. Curry and Dorsey won re-election unopposed. Spear faced challenger John Burdine.[1]

District 3 incumbent Susan Goding announced in February 2015 that she would resign from the board effective March 4, 2015. A member of the board since 2005, she decided to leave the board mid-term to focus on her statewide advocacy regarding math education.[2] The race for her vacated seat featured Joe Van and Miles Partman. Van was appointed to fill the District 3 vacancy until the election; Partman challenged Goding in her most recent re-election campaign in 2013. Van won the remaining two years of Goding's term on the board.[1]
