Biography
Michael Stettler was born in Inglewood, California. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1986 to 1990. Stettler earned a high school diploma from Wintersberg High School. His career experience includes working as an electrician. He has also worked in water well and oil well construction, as a gopher trapper, as a farm surveyor, as a club and mobile DJ, and as a spokesman for a presidential campaign.[1][2]

It is my belief that our identity as United States Citizens is found in the Declaration Of Independence, which is a reflection from the best of European history, culture and knowledge of human civilization.
When my fellow citizens have found the time to read and study that document, what they share with me is a confirmation of the statement above. Their identity can be found in that document and that document holds a timeless and universal identity for all people. A universal identity that cannot be swayed by popular trends in politics or news cycles.
Everyday people are becoming more and more aware that what the government is saying, and the news is reporting, is out of correspondence to reality. As a candidate for US Representative I ask you, "Is Oregon better off than ten, twenty, thirty years ago? Are you and your family?"
I am an advocate and defender of the Constitution, its Preamble, its 7 Articles and all of its 27 amendments. I am an adopted person who is pro life. I see a great opportunity in front of Oregon in 2024. Returning to policies that have worked in our nation's history will serve us well. Here's what I propose, let's apply some common SENS, Simple Economic National Solutions.- Reinstate Glass-Steagall Banking: Depression era law that protected your bank deposits and pensions 1933–1999. This legislation essentially creates a firewall that separates commercial deposits and pension assets from speculation investment and derivatives trading,
- Hospital Survey and Construction Act 1946: US healthcare policy, 4.5 hospital beds per 1000 population based on census data. Let's end the 1973–2024 era of Affordable Care Act and the HMO dominated profit oriented system. Let's put the care back into healthcare.
- No more money for war, Medical Autonomy, Campaign Finance Reform, Real investment into advanced technologies and energy intensive industries, No Green New Deal, No Cap and Trade, Apprenticeship Programs, Vocational Skills Development and School-To-Work Programs, True Forest Management.
We must reevaluate our commitment to future generations by upgrading the curriculum in our public schools. The curriculum in our public schools should be a reflection of who we are as human beings. Inherent in all of us is the creative and cognitive capability to discover universal physical principles and increase our power over and in the universe.
Lyndon Larouche was the greatest political leader in my life. He passed away February 12th 2019 on Abraham Lincoln's birthday.
He lived a sublime life and to shuffle of his mortal coil on Lincoln's birthday, was a fitting conclusion to his mortal existence.
Where we sit today represents a wide and unnecessary departure from these basic principles and foundational documents.
Being able to relate all things to all people is always an asset in public relations, diplomacy, statecraft and proper representation in our Republic, to which our flag stands. I am the change you seek in the world of politics and a representative of the people.
In addition to the knowledge listed above transparency, candor, availability and accessibility of the elected official to the electorate would be of great benefit to the electorate as well.

Again, unfortunately, a majority of those who have been IN government and or politics have failed to uphold Constitutional intentions stated in the Preamble of our Constitution. Those clearly stated Constitutional Justice, Ensure domestic tranquility, Provide for the common defense, Promote the general welfare and therefore have FAILED to secure the blessings of Liberty for We The People and Their posterity.
The identity crisis in our Nation is of immediate and pressing importance and must be a major focus to flatten the learning curve quickly.
That requires an honest approach from Congress, and that level of honesty has yet to show itself in modern times.
After the Revolutionary war Ethan Allen traveled back to England to establish commerce and trade with our British Brethren. Honest Abe loved telling this story. Upon a visit with the House of Lords, the Lords were barely tolerant of the roughnecked Americans and their new found wealth and nation.
It was an extended stay so the Lords knew at some point Ethan Allen would need to use the outhouse. So, the Lords hung a portrait of George Washington in the outhouse for joke and to demonstrate their bare bones tolerance and yet contempt for the Americans.
So upon the need to use the outhouse, Ethan Allen made use of the facilities and thought it a bit peculiar that the brits had a painting of George Washington in the outhouse.
He finished his business and rejoined the Lords in their soiree of good cheer. The Lords could not help but ask if Ethan Allen had seen the picture. He said he had seen the picture and commented it was hung where it could do good service.
The Lords were baffled by Ethan not saying anything negative about it and proclaimed with contempt and their strong british accents, "Good service? A portrait of George Washington in a water closet?" and Ethan Allen answered.

Healthcare For Oregon The OHA has squandered any credibility it may have garnered prior to the last few years and during the presence of COVID 19. The imposition of mandates for masks and testing to receive medical care, the closing and opening of schools, the denial of employment through vaccination requirements has given rise to a level of contempt for government authority not seen in my experience or known in my lifetime. Rule by decree from the office of the Oregon Governor and the OHA has people overflowing with disgust, outrage and contempt. Standards for care have long been established in United States history. These standards were rejected during the Nixon administration and their rejection continued during the Ford administration. The era of Health Maintenance Organizations was ushered in. A rush for profit was sold to the American People through jingoisms and free market justifications of efficiency and lower costs. Insurance companies and their CEO's have enriched themselves while average people in need of care have been affoarded less consideration than their need for care has warranted. The Hospital Survey and Construction Act of 1946, also known as Hill-Burton Healthcare deployed knowledge gained from WWII regarding needs of a population for medical care and their ability to access that medical care. Appropriations for healthcare were based on population per county, per capita, per square mile using US Census data and other population and demographic data sets. Get the insurance companies and their lobbyist accountants out of the room and allow medical professionals to develop another approach for the 21st century. An approach based on successful policy and principled application will render a better quality of medical care for our US citizens and those in life threatening trauma who are not. Harnessing knowledge and experience attained from the past, to avoid making similar mistakes in the future, will end the era of the Affordable Care Act and HMO's definitively. Telecommunications Bill 1996 Created to allow more players in the industry, this bill has failed because all of the disparate players across the industry have mostly been bought out by large telco monopolies. We need a real simple telecomm bill that not only brings competition to the market at the state level, but that also respects the first amendment across all platforms while ensuring our 4th amendment rights are upheld. No longer will cyber millipedes wormholing through your data be tolerated. Treaty of Westphalia Europe had been destroying itself and everyone in it for over one hundred years. British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s speech in Chicago in 1999, in which he declared that the era of the Treaty of Westphalia was over, opened a period of unceasing wars by major powers on smaller nations. The principles of the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia are needed now more than ever. The Treaty of Westphalia says explicitly, that it abolishes all competition, pretensions, and advantages over others, and “forgives the sins of the past by leaving all wrongs that have been committed to perpetual Oblivion.” Such is the beauty of power when it is proportional with reason, and such was the commitment of France in 1648, with the Peace of Westphalia.. Oregon Water Policy Creating policy that uses what we have and putting it to good use, rather than letting it run straight to the ocean. The same number of fish can exist in a cascade of managed large waterways as can exist in 200 miles of river. The current trend in education and curriculum reflects the decline of western civilization and manifests itself in Critical Race Theory, gender studies and green ideology. These views and course changes are not voted on by parent teacher associations at school boards, they are selected through an arbitrary process that is shielded from the consent of the governed. These policy decisions on curriculum are devoid of scientific method. Evidence to support alternative views are shamed by virtue signaling and discounted by two minute tickers in quorum.

Unfortunately, as of the past 20 + years or so, it has been where good ideas go to die and an unnecessary display of brinksmanship can be found.

At that point, the kind of relationships I would build with other Senators could becharacterized as, "trust but verify."
