Michael Stone (North Carolina representative)
Michael C. Stone is a former Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 51 from 2010 to January 1, 2015.
Stone was a member of the Sanford City Council for two terms.
Biography
Stone graduated from Central Carolina Community College with an A.A.S. in business and accounting. His professional experience includes being the owner of O'Connell's Grocery Store for 14 years and the owner of TBS Enterprise.

Elections
2014
Elections for the North Carolina House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Incumbent Michael Stone was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Brad Salmon was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Salmon defeated Stone in the general election.[1][2][3][4]
2012
Stone ran for re-election in 2012. He ran unopposed in the May 8, 2012, Republican primary. He defeated W. P. Tatum (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
2010
On November 2, 2010, Stone won election to the North Carolina House of Representatives, defeating Jimmy Love, Sr. (D).[7][8]
