Michael W. Moyers was a chancellor for the Knox County Chancery Court of the Sixth Judicial District, which presides over Knox County, Tennessee. He was elected to the court on August 3, 2006, and re-elected on August 7, 2014.[1][2]Moyers resigned from the court on January 22, 2021, to join the law firm of Bernstein, Stair & McAdams.[3]

Education

Moyers received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in 1984 and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, College of Law in 1987.[1]

Career

Moyers began his career in 1988 as a county attorney for the Knox County Law Director's Office. He then became the law director himself in 2000 and worked in that position until his judicial election to the Knox County Chancery Court in 2006.[1]
