Issues
Political philosophy
In an electronic communication, Walsh describes his political philosophy:[1]
"Jeffersonian: government that governs least governs best. Limited, enumerated, delegated powers to the government. All rights reserved to the people. I believe in free markets, but that means that government must have the power to break up cartels and monopolies. I don't believe in fiat money, or the present system of finance and credit, which has at its root the Federal Reserve System (a banking cartel). America should be a good neighbor with other nations; a trustworthy trading partner, but not the world policeman, or the leg breakers for the plutocrats."
Elections

Walsh ran for election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Cheshire 10. Walsh advanced past the September 11 Republican primary and was defeated by Marge Shepardson (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
