Michael White (Illinois)
Michael White was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 31 of the Illinois State Senate.
White is a retired veteran, having served a combined 22 years between the him Illinois Army National Guard United States Air Force. He earned his Associate's from Kankakee Community College and B.S. from Illinois State University.[1]

White ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 31. White lost in the Republican primary on March 12, 2012. He faced Joe Neal, Linwood Jarratt and Lawrence Leafblad. Incumbent Suzi Schmidt (R) did not run for re-election. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4][5]

White was endorsed by the Daily Herald in the District 31 race for the Illinois State Senate. It has stated, "...we endorse White for a cost-cutting approach that includes pension reform and eliminating spending on a third airport, high-speed rail and college scholarships granted by legislators. We like White’s ideas for building a coalition with other freshman lawmakers to accomplish goals in Democrat-led Springfield and support White’s pledge not to accept a legislative pension, if elected."[6]
