Michael Woodyard
Michael Woodyard is a former candidate for the 3rd Circuit Court in Michigan.[1] Woodyard was defeated in the primary election on August 2, 2016. Woodyard ran for the 22nd Circuit Court in 2012 and 2014.[2]
Biography
Woodyard received a bachelor's degree in English from Eastern Michigan University in 1996. He earned his J.D. from Wayne State University in 2002.[3] Woodyard became an assistant prosecuting attorney in Wayne County after his graduation from law school in 2002.[4]

2016
Michigan held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election occurred on August 2, 2016. The candidate filing deadline for incumbents was March 21, and the deadline for non-incumbents was April 19.[5] The following candidates ran in the 3rd Circuit primary election (4 open seats).[1]

Primary: He was defeated in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 13.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Pat Conlin and Veronique Liem.

Woodyard was defeated by incumbent Judge Timothy Connors in the general election on November 6, receiving 23.42 percent of the vote.[7][8]
