Michaela Murphy

Michaela Murphy is a superior court justice for the Kennebec County Superior Court in Maine.[1] She was appointed to the court by former Governor John E. Baldacci in 2007, and re-appointed by Governor Paul LePage in 2015. Her term expires in 2022.[2] In 2010, Murphy was nominated to take the place of David Hornby on the United States District Court for the District of Maine, but later withdrew her name for "health and family reasons."[3][4]
Education
Murphy received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law.[2]
Career
Murphy was previously a partner at the law firm of Jabar, Batten Ringer and Murphy.[2]
