Michele Castillo

Michele Castillo is a judge on the Superior Court of Ventura County in California. She was appointed by Democratic Governor Jerry Brown on June 28, 2016, to succeed Judge Rebecca S. Riley. Although the judicial position is nonpartisan, Castillo is a Democrat.[1]
Biography
Castillo received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She was a commissioner at the Superior Court of Ventura County from 2014 to 2016, a public defender in Ventura County from 2005 to 2014, and in Fresno County from 2003 to 2005. She was an attorney at the John A Barker, Alternate Defense Office from 2002 to 2005.[1]
