Michele Christiansen is a judge of the Utah Court of Appeals. She assumed office in 2010. Her current term ends on January 3, 2027.

Christiansen ran for re-election for judge of the Utah Court of Appeals. She won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Christiansen was one of seven candidates selected by the Utah Court of Appeals Nominating Commission to fill a vacancy on the Utah Court of Appeals.[1] Christiansen was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals in June 2010 by Governor Gary Herbert.[2][3]

Education

Christiansen received her J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1995.[3]

Career

After graduation from law school, Christiansen worked as a law clerk for Judge Tena Campbell of the United States District Court for the District of Utah. After that, she worked as an attorney for the firm of Parsons Behle & Latimer. She then joined the United States Attorney's Office, District of Utah, as an assistant United States attorney in 1998. She later worked as general counsel for Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr.

Christiansen was appointed to the Third District Court by Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., in May 2007.[3]
