Michele Clark has deep roots in the NW suburbs of Chicago. Now living in Algonquin, Michele and her husband Daryl, a commercial airline pilot, are proud parents of two college age daughters. Her values of faith, family, and country were shaped early by her family’s entrepreneurial spirit & work ethic. Her parents, both raised on farms in WI with little money, moved to IL for opportunity. Her father, a Marine veteran and former military police officer, grew a home-based business with her mother as office manager. Michele went on to fulfill her own dream of business ownership, running a large early childhood learning center in McHenry County for more than a decade. She understands firsthand that strong communities are built by small business owners and hardworking families who want safe neighborhoods, good schools, & a chance to get ahead. She is proud to have employed dozens of dedicated staff who earned a good living through her business. A member of First Congregational Church of Dundee, Michele was raised in a conservative Lutheran church that limited women’s roles. Inspired by her mother’s insistence on education & opportunity, she shares a commitment to women’s rights and standing up for those who are held back. Michele served as COO of the Boys & Girls Club NWS, leading through the pandemic while managing a multimillion-dollar budget and government funding streams. She currently uses those skills to raise funds for the D300 Food Pantry.
  • Michele is a small business owner, nonprofit leader, and mom who has balanced budgets, led teams, and delivered real results for working families and children. She has real world experience and understands the challenges families and small business owners are facing today.
  • People in this district are worried about the cost of living, our children's futures, and a lack of accountability. And they’re tired of politicians who are more focused on dividing us than listening to their needs. Michele will work across the aisle when it makes sense, and she will always stand firm when it comes to protecting our families, our values and our future.
  • Michele is proud to call Illinois her home. She was born and raised here. Michele knows that Illinois residents are concerned about the affordability of this state and if anyone cares. As a mother of two college aged daughters and daughter of a mother who lives on a fixed income, she is experiencing the squeeze that many in Illinois are experiencing. Michele wants to make Illinois more affordable. Not only that, Michele wants Illinois to be the best state to live, work, and raise a family.
