Michele Kratky (Democratic Party) is running for election to the Missouri State Senate to represent District 4. She declared candidacy for the 2026 election.[source]

Kratky (Democratic Party) was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 82. She assumed office in 2009. She left office in 2017.

Biography

Kratky's professional experience includes working as vice president of governmental affairs for the Saint Louis Association of Realtors, a court room clerk, and a legal secretary. Kratky is married with four children. She has been a volunteer with Mother's Club at St. Louis University, a volunteer with St. Raphael's Elementary School, a member of the Mayor's Lead Paint Task Force, and a member the St. Louis City Board of Adjustment.[1]

The city of St. Louis, Missouri, held elections for mayor, comptroller, board of aldermen, and the St. Louis Community College in 2017. Fourteen of the 29 seats on the board were up for general election. Additionally, the Ward 16 seat held by Donna Baringer (D) was up for special election, following her successful election to the state house of representatives in 2016. Partisan primary elections took place on March 7, 2017. The general election between the primary winners took place on April 4, 2017.[2] Thomas Oldenburg defeated Michele Kratky in the Democratic primary election for Ward 16 of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen.[3]

Elections for the Missouri House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Michele Kratky was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Jake Koehr was unopposed in the Republican primary. Kratky faced Koehr in the general election.[4][5] Incumbent Kratky defeated Koehr in the general election, and was re-elected to another term.[6]
