Michelle Del Rosario Martinez is a first-generation American, woman of faith, wife, and successful businesswoman. As Member of the Altadena Town Council, she adopted an open-door policy and firmly believes the constituents are her boss. Michelle works to make the district a hope-filled place where businesses thrive, education is exhilarating and innovative, and our communities are protected because safety, combined with being a good neighbor is the standard. Michelle advocates for love, hope, and work. These values and determination make all things possible! With her honorary doctorate in theology, Michelle volunteers teaching the Constitution and biblical citizenship. She firmly believes in the faith of the founding fathers of our nation and trusts it is possible to recapture the hope that built this amazing nation. We live in the land of opportunity, where millions immigrate for the American dream. Having Peruvian parents, Michelle was taught to dream big and work hard, because we live in America, where we can accomplish all things if we set our minds to it. For this reason, she is running for State Assembly, to ensure future generations are afforded the same opportunities, a place to work, build their dreams, and share them with those that we love. We each have a duty to preserve the American spirit and the hope it affords the next generation as well as our own lives! We must show deep love for one another, for love inspires hope, and hope a legacy that endures!
  • Love is the act of caring and showing compassion by providing real solutions for the underserved. Love is a driving emotion that provokes us to care for those in need, particularly the underprivileged and the suffering. It is crucial that we provide genuine and practical solutions to alleviate their hardships. Instead of referring to the displaced as "our neighbours on the street," we should acknowledge they are our brothers and sisters. Our capacity to care and support the most vulnerable members of our community is the ultimate expression of love. Our goal should not only be to establish sustainable programs, but to create permanent solutions that stand the test of time and challenges, eliminating the issue all together.
  • Hope - Today is a new day and all things are possible, with love, hope, and hard work. The power of hope is within each of us; it's a gift that can restore and renew. Our collective "yes" is the key that unlocks the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Despite being told what's impossible and wrong for so long, we have the capacity to achieve meaningful change. The love and hope in our hearts are more potent than any bureaucracy. It's up to us to choose to be the new standard and make decisions that shape not only our future but also that of the next generations. Perseverance is born from adversity, and the wisdom and courage gained will always be ours. The choices we make matter, because our yes holds the power.
  • Work, as a leader, I am committed to spearheading the efforts to restore our state. I understand the importance of putting aside personal interests and focusing on serving the people, families, communities, and businesses. By creating an environment that fosters possibilities, and encourages determination, we can unleash the American spirit that achieves remarkable feats, to which no legislation can compare. With the freedom to flourish, California residents can unlock their full potential all various facets of life, including education, careers, businesses, families, and safe communities. It's time to awaken the American Spirit and bring California to its golden state, where active participation in the process is crucial for success.

I look up to my parents. Their courage, determination, and perseverance is a legacy I work to pass on to generations that follow. I think of them both being 19 when they came to this country. With very little in their pocket, but big dreams and hard work, they carved out a good life for my family. They taught me that it is always better to give that to receive and there isn't a better place to live than right here in the United States of America.
Yes, the Bible. It is my true north. All the best parts of me and how I endeavor to serve my community and leave things better for the next generation, is because I believe I am commanded to first love. Love my neighbor, community and district not through my own eyes but through the eternal truth, love, hope and perseverance taught in the Bible.
Ethics and Service are key for any leader. Yes, a representative of the people should be comfortable in the forefront, but only to implement the will of the people. My role is to serve and protect.
I don't cower and I love to persevere. I may not always be first, but I always finish the race! I don't see obstacles, but rather creative opportunities to think outside the box. I understand I will go to Sacramento with a small coalition, but you only need a remnant. I believe that much can be done with little. I do not despise the day of small beginnings,
Listening to the people. Ensuring that the representation is of the will of the people. To protect the rights of the constituents
Love, Hope, and all things are possible with hard work!
I was eight years old when Elvis Presley died. I remember everyone stopping to watch his services on tv. It was the first time I took notice of the entire nation talking about one topic and everyone finding peace in sharing our love for his music.
I was counselor for the Boys and Girls club of America. It was a summer job, and I took a mobile unit from Pasadena to Watts to provide art and scholastic activities for the children of the community.
Pride and Prejudice, the female characters persevered in a time and era when wisdom and discernment had to be employed to navigate through the world. And yet they had protection in the wisdom of understanding being true to oneself and the gifts endowed upon us by the creator could be enough to flourish in any setting.
Not having children of my own. I have been blessed with many to love and nurture, but I would have loved to have been a mother.
The governor sets a tone and the legislators advocate for their districts. As legislators, we should be in a position to persuade the governor with the interests of the people, not just interest groups or foreign influencers.
Getting legislators to focus on the interests of their constituents. I have experienced first hand how both in state and local politics the desires of the constituents fall on deaf ears.
Preferably in serving their communities. Government is quite big in California, there are several agencies, departments, etc for every policy and need in our state. A state legislator's responsibility is to be in their district, understanding the needs of the community and representing the people in Sacramento. Setting the tone for representation of the people.
The fastest land mammal is a toddler that's been asked, "what's in your mouth?"
The CAGOP, The LAGOP, Ret. Supervisor, Michael Antonovich, Senator Brian Dahle, Ret. Senator Mike Morrel.
Just about all of them. I believe as a legislator, we do not have our own priorities, but rather tasks to accomplish for the people. California is diverse and with many needs, I would be honored to serve in any of the following:

Accountability and Administrative Review
Appropriations
Banking and Finance
Budget
Business and Professions
Communications and Conveyance
Education
Elections
Emergency Management
Governmental Organization
Health
Housing and Community Development
Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy
Judiciary
Labor and Employment
Local Government
Military and Veterans Affairs
Natural Resources
Privacy and Consumer Protection
Public Safety
Revenue and Taxation
Rules
Transportation
Utilities and Energy

Water, Parks, and Wildlife
This is a highly significant issue that must be made accessible to all individuals. Accountability is crucial, and it can be best achieved when the underserved members of our communities have a clear comprehension look of how their lives are impacted by the decisions of state legislators. By providing transparency, they can monitor accountability and hold those in power responsible for their actions.
