Haworth is a marketing manager at W.W. Grainger in Janesville as a well as a mother of three students in the Janesville district.[1]

Three of the nine seats on the Janesville School District school board were up for general election on April 5, 2016. The seats of Kristin Hesselbacher, Karl Dommershausen, and Cathy Myers were up for election. Dommershausen and Myers filed for re-election and faced challengers Michelle Haworth, Jim Millard, and Stephanie Kortyna-Rapach. Myers was successful in her bid for re-election and was joined on the board by newcomers Haworth and Millard. [2]
