Michelle Meaux Breaux is a judge for the 15th Judicial District in Louisiana. She was elected to the court on December 6, 2014, for a term commencing on January 1, 2015, and ending on December 31, 2024.[1]

Primary: She was successful in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 41.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Mark Allen Babineaux and Valerie Gotch Garrett.
General: She defeated Mark Allen Babineaux in the general election on December 6, 2014, receiving 58 percent of the vote.

Career
Breaux was previously an attorney of civil law and an assistant district attorney in the 15th Judicial District. She co-founded the Juvenile Drug Court in the district, and helped develop a truancy court, working with the Lafayette Parish School System. Breaux had also previously worked as an adjunct professor of criminal justice at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette.[3]
