I grew up on a farm in Illinois, and have lived in central Kentucky for the past twenty-one years. I moved here to follow my dream of working in the equine industry.

I obtained a Veterinary Technology degree from Morehead State University in 2004. I then moved to Lexington where I worked in equine surgery for the following seven years. During this period of time I met my husband, had two children, and we started our own business- a thoroughbred breeding, foaling, and sales prep operation.

In 2013, I graduated with a Nursing degree from Midway University. I worked as a pediatric nurse for 4.5 years- 3.5 years in a pediatricians office, and one year in the NICU.
For months I have been speaking out at the WCBOE school board meetings advocating for the use of federal covid relief funding (ESSER funds) to be utilized for their intended purpose, which is to address the significant learning loss and mental health issues that our children face- a direct result of the ongoing pandemic. As of now, there is NO oversight to ensure that these one time federal funds are being utilized for their intended purpose. In order to hold those in charge of allocating these funds accountable, this needs to change.

The mask and vaccine mandates are unconstitutional and must be stopped. Citizens’ rights to bodily autonomy must be protected. Parents deserve the right to choose whether or not their children should be forced to wear a mask in school without fear of their child being denied an education.

I will advocate for the use of “Right to try” medical treatments that not approved by the FDA. As human beings, we should have this right- especially if there are current scientific and peer reviewed studies available which are proving positive outcomes.

I believe that we must restore election integrity (by method of paper ballots, no electronic machines, requiring valid ID, same day voting, smaller precincts, and winner announced by a set time) in order to preserve our democracy.

We must protect freedom of speech and stop censorship.

I would like to bring awareness to and end human trafficking.
I am hardworking, honest, an active listener, and a fierce advocate.
I think the core responsibilities of a state representative is to answer to, advocate for, and vote on behalf of the will of their people.

I do think it’s beneficial. However, I do not believe that it should be required.

I think compromise is both necessary and desirable for policy making.
