|I am the mother of a student in Columbia Heights and an avid volunteer in the community. The work that I am already doing on the board and my personal connection to our district's growth are what motivate me to run for and be successful as a school board member. I aim to amplify the unheard voices that exist within our community by listening to, engaging with, and investing in the people and concerns that matter, but may sometimes go unheard. I believe that my unique perspective will aid in our district's efforts to strive for the most equitable education for our students, which will ensure a brighter future for our entire community.
- I bring an amount of representation to the board that has not been there before and it benefits our students, staff, and community members to have someone to speak on their behalf..
- As a current parent in the district, I have a personal connection to our district and community, which will make me work harder to see our students and district thrive.
- I was appointed this seat and in my time on the School Board I have learned and grown in many ways. My experience will help me to continue the work and momentum that our unified board has already built.
I am passionate about our public school's education policies and funding. I would love to see our schools receive the most equitable education and we can achieve our goals more efficiently with the proper programs, staff, and curriculum. Without proper funding and direction, we risk not providing the best space for our students to be academically successful.

To govern and create policies that will benefit all students and create the most equitable educational space that will ensure their academic success. Also to bridge the gaps between the school district and community.
Communication is key. I believe that encouraging parental and community engagement builds an amount of transparency and trust to community members that is needed in order to create connections to our school district.
Staying informed of possible funding allocations through the state and federal level, as well as coming up with creative solutions like grants or other opportunities
Someone who is focused on our student's academic success and who's open to new perspectives and ways to reach our goals. Our students need to have the support and be represented by people who have their best interest at heart and who will be dedicated to helping them be successful. Communicating and being aware of the needs of the community are incredibly important, as well.
I am goal oriented and driven. My passion for people helps me to be personable and approachable and I believe engagement is necessary if I want to be successful and represent the families in our community.
